St George's church is set back off Church Road in an old area of Cam known as Upper Cam; the area being upstream of the River Cam.

The more modern housing of the parish is situated mostly to the north-west of the church. To the east of the church the parish is mainly farmland and the impressive hills of Cam Peak (Peaked Down) and Cam Long Down. The Cotswold Way passes these hills and provides wonderful views of the Vale of Berkeley and beyond.
Stinchcombe is to the west of the parish on the other side of Stinchcombe Hill. This hill is the home of a golf course and again has lovely views over the Vale, the villages and right down the Severn Estuary. Further to the North West of Upper Cam is Lower Cam and our neighbouring parish of St Bartholomew.
To the south of the St George's church is the Littlecombe development, with over 200 new houses and the new Vale Community Hospital. Further south is the town of Dursley, with its parish church of St James. Dursley has a secondary school, supermarket, fire station and library; details of which can be found here.
