Here is my worship song for the Lent blog:-
This is my go-to worship song and the one that has spoken to me most in my calling to full- time ministry.
Many of you will know that I love sailing so on one level this song is very much linked to my spiritual experiences of offshore yacht racing and family holidays sailing in Greece. However, the song is also a metaphor for the ups and downs of life and how God wants to journey with us, being our support and guide. The song is also reminder of my close relationship with God, “I am yours and You are mine”, and the two-way nature of that relationship.
I call out to God in my times of need, and he comes close, other times he calls to me encouraging me to take on new adventures and to step out, trusting Him. Wherever you find yourself today I very much hope that as you listen you will feel your soul resting in His embrace.
