I can't believe that this hymn has not yet been chosen as a favourite hymn. It's the rousing 'Be Thou My Vision' but the version that I love is actually titled 'You Are My Vision' and it's by the Rend Collective which is an Irish Christian Folk Rock Band. And actually this is a choice for 2 hymns at once which I find intriguing as it's the same tune as 'Lord of all Hopefulness', which does have some beautiful words - who could not want to pray for bliss, strength, love & peace.
But back to 'You Are My Vision'. My son 1st introduced me to the Rend Collective when he was a teenager and he loved the song 'My Lighthouse'. So now I have these 2 hymns of theirs on my 'Hope' playlist that I talked about on day 4. Finally it is one of my favourite hymns for when I am on the rowing machine!
