My Favourite Song: Revelation Song, sung by Kari Jobe
I have many ‘favourite’ worship songs and hymns, too many to choose from but Revelation Song sung by Kari Jobe is one of those that, whenever I hear it, I stop what I’m doing and listen. It’s taken from Revelation 4, and gives a glimpse of God on his throne in heaven. The descriptions in Revelation itself can be somewhat confusing at times and completely difficult at others, but this song brings it all into focus and I can imagine the Trinity there with all of creation worshipping them. Part of the chorus is what the angels in Revelation sing to God and it just sharpens this image of heaven for me. Kari Jobe’s version of this song is my favourite because her voice is perfectly suited to it. This song fills my heart with love for God and is the rainbow through the darkest cloudy day, and never fails to give me goosebumps.
Holy holy holy, is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You
(I will adore You)
