A very lighthearted contribution to our Lent hymns. Not sure you’ll think it suitable but it’s just a bit of fun! (It is totally suitable!, Andrew)
One of my favourite songs is ‘Our God is a great big God’.
Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great big God
And He holds us in His hand
He’s higher than a skyscraper
And He’s deeper than a submarine
He’s wider than the universe
And beyond my wildest dreams
And He knows me and He loves me
Since before the world began
How wonderful to be a part of God’s amazing plan
I first sang this song with the children of Little Church and have very fond memories of singing it with them and joining in with the actions.
The words are very simple tho’ straightforward. Telling us of God’s greatness but He always holds us in His hand.
The song has actions which adds to the fun of singing it. So next time we sing it in church, do join in!
